Theme of the Week - Gardeners Delight

Sorry I've been so diverted by what's going on at Flickr and starting up at ipernity that I completely forgot about the theme.  Lots of growth and colour in our garden at the moment and Chelsea Flower Show on the TV constantly so seems appropriate for this week's theme.  Happy gardening!

  1. W, I'm having the same issues, of course. How do you like ipernity?

  2. ipernity is better than I thought it would be - just like the old Flickr infact! A few of the olf Flickrites are there now, testing it out, Angelica , Vivienne etc. Come and join us!

  3. I'm at Ipernity, too: it's SO much easier on the eyes than Flickr! I'm not really moved in yet, though...

  4. I transferred photos all day and it is very nice viewing there, I just need to regain some focus now after what flickr did to my eyes :)

  5. That's good - the more the merrier! I will add you to my friends list Fi. I don't think I'll bother uploading all my Flickr photos Viv. will just start again from scratch. I've just done a few old things to make myself feel more at home.

  6. Yup. I'm heading to Ipernity too. Looks good. Sad to go after 7 years at Flickr but it's not worth the new subscription.

  8. Well, CC, apparently they'll give you a refund. But I've decided to stay, at least for the time being. Have gotten a huge amount of good exposure and contacts from Flickr (for example, just had another contact from a magazine that saw my stuff on Flickr is paying to publish one of my pieces--this is the third time that has happened, and I like it!), very reluctant to give that up. I'll stay on, grit my teeth, and get great satisfaction from complaining mightily about all the crappy changes... Long term, I figure either it'll get a little bit better (they MIGHT give us some design or size options), or I'll get used to it, or they'll make it worse, in which case I'll bail. For now, tho, I think I'll just keep flickring.

  9. You know I have also sold photographic images via Flickr. Travel & Leisure paid me to use a photo in an on-line piece on neon signs around the country. (One time use + credit line). And I do enjoy all my Flickr contacts (their photos and artwork + comments and some correspondence). I think I will tough it out as well.
