More great machine madness! Interesting commentary as well.
Howdy! I'm gonna try to come back to commenting, as much as I'm able, because I want y'all to know that I do exist. I just can't make collages—not yet. What's happened to me: late last year and in the winter and spring I suffered a devastating metabolic disease affecting all the muscles of the arms and legs. My arms and hands are in pretty good shape, thank the Goddess, but my legs are severely damaged. I'm bedridden (futon-ridden) and get about, where I can in our house, which is not even the whole downstairs because of furniture and stuff. I have done exercises and physical therapy for months to get to the point where...
(cont.) I can stand (very briefly) and walk (poorly) with handholds—like a rock climber but horizontal. I can't drive or (most annoyingly) climb stairs. My whole collage studio is upstairs! And we don't have the room (too many books) to move any of it downstairs. So for the time being, it's out of reach. But with patience and persistence (and hope—gotta have hope) I will get my function back.

Oops: where I said "I get about" in the first comment, meant to say "I get about with a wheelchair." (Sorry for all the multiple comments: it's an iPad issue re. long comments.) Anyway (I'm longwinded as usual, not to mention overly confessional), I'm here! I love this collage, Michael especially the text bits.
"Back your purpose with your pencil handicap" is hilarious. You have such a way with words: you musr be a good writer! Over and out...
Sorry to hear you have been poorly Fi. Thanks for all your positive comments and keeping us informed of your progress. We look forward at some point of seeing your wonderful collages again here.
