Secret Birdbrain Boffins Behind Wilbur & Orville's Success.


  1. Clever one Ron! And I must admit I had to look up the word "boffin" as we don't know that here in the States!

    For anyone else who was perplexed by the word:

    A boffin is British slang for a scientist, engineer, or other person engaged in technical or scientific work.

    Yes, boffin is such a British word. These were the guys in the white coats who solved the problems in those creaky films on a Sunday afternoon saying things like, "I'm not sure this'll work but let's run it up the flagpole and give it a go..."
