In the Mid-1960s Ol' Blue Eyes Donned a Beatle Wig and Reinvented Himself

After all, Frank did try to have hits with songs like "Downtown", "Something" and "MacArthur Park"!

  1. LOL. Looks like Ol' Blue Eyes has done something stupid and flipped his wig.

    1. That's funny, Ron. "Something Stupid"...dang, I should have had Nancy Sinatra in the background in her white 'Go-Go' boots.

    2. Nancy's great...I saw her live in 2003 when she played the Edinburgh Festival.

    1. Thanks Fi. I had just picked up a piece of vintage Frank Sinatra sheet music in that lovely sepia-ish color for $1. It was perfect timing. The Beatles wig is actually cut from a 1960s hair style magazine. That was some woman's "do". And the swinging 1960s gal is a model from a magazine ad.

  3. "Downtown" I think I know - nice song - and fun collage, Angie. I like her earrings a lot!

    2. Here's something I tho't you might appreciate knowing, Angie.... Making links in Blogger is a piece of cake, of course. But when you're putting links in the comments section, this is what you have to do:

      text for link

If I did it right, the above creates Petula Clark's 'Downtown'.

    3. Oops... what I didn't do right was to give you the right code. Replace square brackets with angle brackets in the following:

      [a href="url"]text for link[/a]

    4. Thanks Fi, I'll give it a try sometime. Or, if I can't figure it out I will continue to just supply the link for folks to copy & paste. (see Sabine's comment below)

    6. See, I tried! I am trying to make the link for Frank singing MacArthur Park. Do I just put the link within [ ] brackets? I need it spelled out for me to understand as I do not understand code at all. :)

Anyway here is a link to Frank singing MacArthur Park:

    7. You're getting there, Angie! =smile=

      Take the following formula:

      [a href="url"]text for link[/a]

And do three things to it:
      1) replace every single square bracket with an angle bracket
      2) put the url (starting with http://) where it says "url"
      3) put your text that identifies the link (like "Frank singing MacArther Park") where it says "text for link"

It's important, nthough, that you don't change anything else about it. For example, you took the space out between a and href= ....gotta leave that soace in.

  4. Thank you very much, Angie for the links - this is the song I had in my head and which I like very much. Great!
(Fi: it´s easy just to copy the link and paste it in google and - klick - klick - you can watch them on youtube)
