And In My Dreams I Am Able To Leap Tall Buildings In a Single Bound, Descend a Staircase in a Single Leap, Jump From Rooftop to Rooftop With The Greatest of Ease
I have been waiting to use the image of the woman you see here. I cut her from the front of a piece of vintage sheet music a long time ago. The black & white village scene is from a vintage book on France.
I do have dreams where I can fly and it does not involve wings...it just involves leaping. My favorite is when I can take one leap and descend a grand staircase.

RayDreams
I've been a bit stuck with this theme apart from the dream I had when I seemed to helping build the Bridge On The River Kwai, my dreams have been very mundane this week.
So, I've had to look to one of all-time favourite bands The Kinks for inspiration and do a collage
based around their song 'Dreams' from their 1971 OST album 'Percy'.
Dreams (written by R.D Davies)
When I look so far away/ Please don't wake me from my dreams/ I'm just wondering who I could be/ If I lived inside my dreams/
I could be a king or a football star/ Drive around in a big sports car/ An astronaut or a millionaire/ I could do anything or go anywhere
Dream I'm far away
Racing driver or a great politician/ A man of power or a man of religion/ I could be almost anything/ If I could live inside my dreams
Please don't wake me from my dreams
Flying Dream
Bit of a rushed job this one - visitors this weekend! Hopefully I will be able to add another when things quieten down a bit.

dreaming of someone like jackson
I have long dreams of drifting through art galleries, floating through museums, gazing at vividly colored paintings I have never seen before.
Three Jackson Pollock paintings are cut up and spliced: Lavender Mist (1950), Autumn Rhythm (1950), and Convergence (1952).
Welcome to my nightmare
Just before going to bed I often spend some time looking at Victorian photos of people who have long been dead. Afterwards it is not unusual for me to dream about them and sometimes a dream will turn into a nightmare. When I try to wake up from the nightmare I feel like something is sitting on my chest and I cannot move (this sleep paralysis can last for several minutes). I can never remember details of these dreams and have used a fuzzy background in the collage to represent this. The woman's face is a reverse copy of a painted tintype in my collection. It sits in my display cabinet so I see her everyday.
Scared But Strong?
So, I don't usually remember my dreams, but I have had a couple in which something horrible is happening (vicious animals are attacking or my daughters are being pursued by one of those scary gangs from the movie "Warriors," that sort of thing), and instead of the old dream where you want to scream but can't, I surprise myself by turning and successfully defending against the creepy threat, kicking some dream ass, as it were. A wonderwoman outfit doesn't really suit me (spandex, now THERE'S a nightmare), so here it is: a slightly-timid-but-willing-to-defend-herself Victorian super heroine. She's got gouache painted arms, so I suppose I've cheated a little...
The Science of Sleep
collage on found painting
I frequently have dreams where I'm coming apart- literally. Twice I've dreamt that I was nothing but a head. Oddly enough in the dream I wasn't scared that I was only a head and was actually laughing about it within a dream. I could possibly be insane.

I am haunted by thoughts of eternity
Background from a women's sportswear catalog. Image of Niagara Falls is not a photo: that's a black-and-white reproduction of Frederic Edwin Church's oil painting. Contemplative young man in harlequin attire by Pablo Picasso. Doves from the lid of a children's magic set. Numbers from a magazine article on late 19th century spiritualists.
I really am haunted by thoughts of eternity. And infinity. Endless numerals spooling out like the number pi. Maybe it has to do with being over the hill.
I have a question: if one dove is for the Holy Spirit, what do two doves mean?
A Recurring Dream She Hadn't Had For Years Has Raised Its Head Again
Inspired by a quote (which is the title of this collage) that I read online re: Kate Middleton's dream that she is completely nude at her Royal Wedding.
http://www.nowmagazine.co.uk/celebrity-news/523965/kate-middleton-s--recurring-dream--that-she-s-completely-nude-at-her-royal-wedding/1
The girl in the collage is me circa 1966, then as now, on the outside looking in...a dream that manifests in different ways and often recurs.
Theme of the Week - Dreams & Reflections
Let me tell you about the dream I had last night. I was back in our old flat in Lambeth Walk in a decaying part of South London. It had all changed slightly though and the long passage to the outside loo was about twenty times as long as it used to be and like Kafka's "The Castle" I never quite got there - mainly for the huge queue that had built up from people spilling out of a wine bar that had been built next door! They somehow had access to the passage and the queue just got longer and longer! Now all I have to do is make a collage about that! Have fun!

Time Flies
This week has been a difficult one for me, several ideas for the theme which would elude me as soon as I began to pursue the idea. This one feels lame to me for some reason, oh well, can't have a winner every time.
Alternate title "Have you ever wondered when your time would be up?"

the loneliness of the transatlantic courier
Thanks ever so much for the support y'all gave me--no more comments are needed. I decided to give the caterpillar a little more ocean to fly across.

Mr Bond is annoyed....
Mr Bond is annoyed as Q lets Prince Charles have the first test flight of the Jet-Powered Cello while he has to walk
M's pet dog.
rosy-hued: wings
From my own files of yesteryear...with thanks to Wolfgang Tillmans (background), Maria Sibylla Merian (moth wings), and of course, Max Ernst (flying fish).

Theme of the Week - Flight
This was another theme from the old Scrapiteria blog that was very popular so hope it will be again. Things with wings, rockets, parachutes, catapults, etc. Have fun!

2 nudes + 2 screws + 4 tomatoes + (Gilbert & George)
Background is comprised of a photo of oil barrels and a painting by Ron Cohen. The elderly nude is from Alice Neel's fabulous "Nude Self-Portrait" (1980), which hangs in the National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C. Gilbert & George are a British artist duo whose works often include photos of them in suits & ties.

ontogeny
The background is from a satellite photo of McMurdo Sound in Antarctica.
I don't know, I just got to thinking about the "chicken or the egg?" question, and the rest followed.

Theme of the week - Eggs
Sorry I'm a bit behind with the theme this week. As it's Easter will plump for an eggy thematic I think. Any kind of eggs - boiled, fried, chickens, ducks, chocolate, gold plated, etc. Have fun!

Gardener's Diary, Page 57
Entry: April 2, 2012 - Today I awoke and saw red & white and pink & white tulips blooming along my front walk. I have planting on my mind and have some ideas about what I might plug in that stone urn out back.
