Theme of the Week - BLACK FRIDAY
Scratching my head for what theme to come up with and this one just seemed so obvious as it's Black Friday today and everyone is going mad buying stuff. So consumerism, sales, shopping frenzy etc. Have fun and don't get trampled in the rush!

Sang da nicht die Nachtigall?
I asked a lot of my friends how to translate this title - and I got very different suggestions.
Could you please tell me which one is right?
"Has not sung the nightgale there?"
"Didn´t the nightingale sing?"
"Didn´t the nightingale sing?"
"Hasn´t the nightingale been singing?"
... ??? ...

No Ursuline Ducks
Cheating a bit here as this is mostly rubber stamps on an old envelope sent to John Evans, the much missed and much admired collage artist from New York. This was sent to me from Leslie Caldera I think who was given a batch of John's collected ephemera by Evan's wife Margaret after he died to be spread through the network and worked up into some sort of homage. I have already made a small museum for John ( seen elsewhere ) and was wondering what to do with this envelope from T. Baum ( whoever he may be?) . Anyway, here it is , with bird stamps of one kind and another.

Tweet, Tweet
This is a page spread from a recently-completed collaborative artist book by Sabine and me called "Double Vision." Sabine has posted a lovely little video of all of the pages if you're interested, here.

Theme of the Week - BIRDS OF A FEATHER (blog together)
I know we've had a bird theme before but I know how much they are enjoyed so here it is again. You could spread the net wider and have flying things in general if you wish. Have fun!

ANTIQUES? or RUBBISH? BY Ima Picker
An early bird who hunts swap meets, estate sales, thrift stores, etc. and scoops up the good deals - often for resale in antique shops or on eBay.
I pasted this collage on the inside of a vintage book cover.

Autumn Outing
Black & white background is a view of The Chamonix Valley, Rhone-Alpes Region of France. Those gals are from a vintage how to knit magazine. Pumpkins in foreground from a watercolor instruction manual. Autumn trees from a book about the earth. This was fun to do but to me it doesn't even look like a collage...just an arty 1960s fashion shoot!

Leo & Pipo
Collage created at the invitation of Leo & Pipo, masked French street artists whose art revolves around paste-ups, the pair sneaking vintage black
and white photos of finely dressed ladies and gentlemen into the streets
of Paris, invoking a kind of nostalgia and bygone glamour.
