Theme: All creatures great and small

Inspired by Groundhog Day this Friday.

Starting February with a fun theme. Favourite critters little and large all welcome as well as your own invented fantastic beasts.

SURREALLY SWEET DREAMS

A tip of the hat to Rene Magritte (1898-1967).

The dream weaver is swiped from "La Magie Noir" ("Black Magic")

a color lithograph made by the artist.

I found a huge Coconut Cream Pie and dreamy background elsewhere.

Sweet Dreams

Thank you Angie for your themes..(I still can’t comment on posts without Michael approving them!).

Enjoyed the challenges.

Picked out a few sweet things and the moon looming large.

Sweet Dreams - Or A Nightmare?

Ooer! Hazel says this is what comes of playing too many scary video games on the Playstation! Thankfully most of my dreams are nothing like this!

THEME: Sweet Dreams

Hello my Kollage Kit compadres...it has been three months now that I have been picking themes and I think it is time to hand the job over to someone else. Hope you all had fun with my challenges and I had great fun seeing your interpretations. I really enjoy this blog and I look forward to being inspired in the coming year!

For now...Sweet Dreams.

What's Old Is New Again - I've A Silven Lotto Leg

Not sure how this fits into the theme but it's certainly old and has been updated so to speak by me adding to it. I couldn't get it under the scanner so this is a poor camera shot in the gloom as the wind howls outside and the sun tries vainly to penetrate the grey clouds.

what's-old-&-new-again: Signs of the (Old & New) Times.

Good to see a recent return to hand-painted signs created for some shops, and also the preservation of 'ghost-signs'.

What's old is new again - Modern times

              From my archive.

Do you recognize a part from a famous 17th century painting by Johannes Vermeer?

What's Old is New Again -- "Grandpa Core"

NOW TRENDING: "Grandpa Core"

It's all about the eclectic grandpa aesthetic.

It's gender neutral and timeless.

Must haves: vintage loafers, classic watch, slouchy sweater/chic cardigan, funky sweater vest, vintage hat, gloves, walking stick, athletic socks, patterned trousers and don't forget the boxer shorts (not pictured, they're under those trousers)!

What’s old is new again

We complain about the pot holes in the roads at the  moment in the UK..but having heard about a man called Ludvik Petursson in Grindavik, Iceland, who tragically fell down a huge crack in the earth when they were trying to fill in a massive fissure in the road  made me see road menders in a very different light.

The news of his demise really shocked me…how can anyone fall into the earth and not be found!?

Thank you to the men who make our lumpy old roads new and flat again…especially in Iceland.🇮🇸

THEME: What's Old is New Again

I was flipping through a book and saw these words: What's old is new again.

Hmmmmmm, I thought. Have fun with this one.

Theme: SURREALISM

It is time to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind by the irrational juxtaposition of images. Get to it!

Theme: New Year's Resolutions

As 2024 enters I thought we could have a theme that is on a lot of people's minds.

I know I have been picking for at least the past couple of months, but I thought ... gee, I can do one more round. So...get those scissors ready, steady, GO!!

Time Travel: Chilling in the Mesozoic Era

TIME TRAVEL: Felicity travels through a Pop Art Portal to meet her favorite artist

I never watched the TV show "Felicity" (1998-2002), about a time traveler.  I thought the image I found in one of my pre-cut boxes looks a lot like the actress Keri Russell who portrayed Felicity. Hence the collage!
