ACM* ATCs....

(* a couple more)

TUNNOCK'S ATC's

3 cards made from Tunnock's Tea Cakes packaging and various bits from my clippings pile and the rubbish bin.

Paperworker Meets the ATC...

 ATC Migu

ATC Eye Nest

Haven't done this before -- it's pretty fun and seems like a very nice way to use up all those pesky, itty bitty scraps!

And, Ron, thanks for doing such a great job of picking themes for us this last month.  You done good.

Swallow

Last year I made a bunch of atcs - so I will show this from the archives.

This week's theme: Artist Trading Cards

I'm signing off now from the month of May. It's been great fun thinking up the themes and thanks for all the superb contributions over the last weeks.

The final theme is to make a collaged ATC. This can be on any subject. Size of an ATC is 64mm wide x 89mm high. I'm sure everyone will have heard of these, but there's a Wiki link below just in case anyone needs a definition.

August 6, 1945, 8:16 AM

From my work-in-progress pile.  On that date, of course, we Americans became the first and only nation to drop an atomic bomb on a city full of people.  The bomb was nicknamed "Little Boy." This will eventually be part of a scrapbook style artist's book I'm making for my daughters about how it was for my generation, growing up nuclear in the shadow of the bomb.

The Wind Cried Mary (new version)

Collaboration with Judith Koning, using the cover of 'Margriet', a Dutch women's magazine, No. 46, november 17th 1951.
The woman on the photo is movie actress and pianist Diana Lynn.

This week's theme: A Year on the Time Machine.

Set the controls and take a trip on the Kollage Kit Time Machine.
Pick a single year, any year from the past, present or future.
It could be the year a major event happened or a scientific discovery or something mundane or trivial.
Or Zager & Evans' favourite, the year 2525!
Back to the Future!

After Disrobing, Diane Felt as Cool as a Cucumber

Collage was made about twenty years ago.  Found it looking through some boxes.  Appropriate for this theme!

Andrea's Eyebrows Were Arched Like a Cat's Back at a Dog Show

Alternate title:

Andrea's Eyebrows Were Arched Like a Mule's Back in a Hail Storm

I found both similes on a website that included antiquated similes.  : )

as free as a bird

The one thing I'll say about this now is that there's only one rubber stamp image: the brown triskele overlapping one of the skulls at the bottom. Other than that, this is 100% collage.

But I'll be happy to answer questions about it. =grin=

She Feels Solid As A Rock (in her modern trousers)

but perhaps you could better say she didn't know she was Strong As An Ox, because after this picture was taken from her the whole statue Collapsed Like A House Of Cards!

(one from my archives)

This week's theme: Similies

You're all as Smart as Tacks so I thought you'd like this theme to get us Busy as Bees.

Feeling Brave as a Lion? Or Mighty like a Rose? Or do you want to Run like the Wind?

Or maybe there's one or two peculiar to your own local area and of course, any brand new ones you've invented.

exodus

The scene on the road is from Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi. On the right is Paul Newman and Otto Preminger on the set of Exodus, in 1960. The background is from a contemporary ad for shampoo.

Homestories

This is from the archives: One collage from my series HOMESTORIES. I mixed imgages from books about German interiors of the 30th, Indian painted movie posters and film stills of the 40th.

Marilyn

A left-over Marilyn with no eyes or mouth, and a quote from Eugene O'Neill (Long Day's Journey Into Night). Film angst...

This week's theme: Silver Screen

Hello one and all. How are you? Michael's kindly handed over the reins and
I've been unleashed onto the month of May's themes.

I'm starting off with The Silver Screen. So, it's anything cinema related, from its early days to the present. Posters, stars, golden eras, genres, favourite movies or fictional ones...Scissors, Glue..Action!

how to survive infatuation

Snake by that nutty snake-lovin' naturalist, Albertus Seba. Sword-swallower from a Dover book. The face, of course, is a Barbie.
