EARTH DAY ADVOCATE

Today is Earth Day
And I'm here to say,
Ride your bicycles folks
Keep pollution at bay!

Being a person who NEVER learned to drive a car I am an Earth Day Advocate everyday and I own four bikes.  Being a part of the solution to pollution for the last 48 years! (I'm figuring I would have gotten my driver's permit at age 16.)

    1. Thanks Ron. Some days I ride my bike at a turtle pace and other days I ride like the wind!

  2. I love your collage, your quote and that you keep our environment clean and unpolluted! Thanks for that! I´m a fan of biking too - although I can not do it that much as I would like to at the moment!
    And...... 48 + 16 = ......

    1. Yes, the Beatles wrote a song about my age. ;)

  3. Fair number of us old folks on KK: I'm 61 myself, and feel older than that during this annoying wheelchair phase of my life. (It will be over, I swear, in less than a year from now!) But I've been driving cars, quite a bit, including not taking airplanes even when I need to go a thousand miles or more. (I have no hangups about flying: I just prefer to drive.) I grew up in an enormous sprawling city (Houston, Texas) with no public transportation.

So I'm admiring your commitment to biking, Angie, as much as your wonderful collage. I agree with Ron: the turtle is a great touch!

  4. I'm a biker myself Angie (and also old;)), I'm too much of a dreamer to drive a car.

    1. Wow...I have also said I am a "day-dreamer" and driving a car would not be a good thing (for me).

  5. CC, what a rare creature you are! I believe you're the only adult I know who has never learned to drive a car. That's almost a crime out here in the West where we worship our (motorized) wheels. (Love the little Matisse touch, btw...)
