"What's he building in there?
What the hell is he building in there?
He has subscriptions to those magazines
He never waves when he goes by
And he's hiding something from the rest of us
He's all to himself, I think I know why
He took down the tire-swing from the pepper tree
He has no children of his own, you see
He has no dog, he has no friends
And his lawn is dying
And what about those packages he sends?
What's he building in there?" ..........................Lyrics by Tom Waits
Ah...great lyric! (Although I must admit I have never heard this song before...going to give it a listen now.) And certainly a great a collection of this and that and the other...if I was a peeping Tom and saw all this I might call the authorities!!
ReplyDeleteNot one I'm familiar with either. I prefer his early folkie/ blues type stuff I must admit.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Archie's shed...another masterpiece...x
ReplyDeleteGood video and track from Tom.
ReplyDeleteLike me, this bloke looks like he's on the horns of a dilemma.
Chuck the junk out or do something with it!
