Three Four The Price Of Merz

My workroom floor has always been a good sauce (sic) of materials for any Schwitterings that I might be doing. Kurt was always a favourite of mine and happy doing a homage to the great man every chance I get. He was the DADA of all that is MERZ! The three examples of floor sweepings are all done in the space of an hour. The first being Hazel's idea of covering a peice of paper (in this case a flyer given away with some cider in Manchester yesterday ) in glue and pressing it directly ono the floor thus picking up clippings and fluff etc. I had to do this twice to create the desired density of grottage (is that a word?). The two framed expamples are more old fashioned - just putting papers in spaces they looked more at home in. You can decide if they are successful of not as I'm not sure!

  1. I have said this before, I have trouble making random collages from scraps. I emptied my workroom bin before we left town and there was nothing of the kind for me to rummage through for this challenge. You can read what I wrote with what I posted today. I think ALL of these collages fit the bill quite successfully!

  2. A-merzing stuff! That Grottage technique could replace the Hoover in all collagists' households!
