Theme Of The Week - Science Fiction / Science Fact?

This weeks theme is all about the future or maybe the past? What do scientists get up to in their labs? What inventions will we get in the brave new world? Will we ever get those jet packs they always promised us? Have fun!

FANTASY DINNER -- "The Mirage on the Overland Trail"

WESTWARD HO!

Black & white photograph depicts the Overland Trail circa 1862.

Migrants pause during their 2,000 mile, 5 month trip from Independence, Missouri to the coast of the United States.

I can image more than one of the travelers wishing they could sit down to a home cooked meal.

Fantasy dinner.

I think I was just thinking massive cake or biscuit.  (Then I noticed it says Dog Biscuit…)

I would prefer a fancier cake to be honest…

Made this watching the interior design challenge….i think it influenced me.

Fantasy Dinner - Lunch With Beryl

Theme Of The Work - Fantasy Dinner

Create your fantasy meal or a guest list of who might attend. Have fun and don't eat too much!

Pet Shop (Boys) - How Much Is That Doggie In The Window?

Pet Shop

Mavis wasn’t sure the local pet shop told her the truth…the kitten seemed to have grown larger than her last cat and the puppy was a lot smellier than she expected……..

Pet Shop (Boys) - Dog Ends

From the archives.

Theme Of The Week - The Pet Shop ( Boys )

So inspired by the documentary on BBC iplayer we watched last night about the band - this can be either about them ( lots of arty videos to inspire you maybe?) or just pet shops in general. Was never really a big fan of the duo but do have their Greatest Hits on CD I picked up from a charity shop. I must give it a spin sometime! have fun!

room-101: Soap Operas

Room 101 - Road Kill

From the archives. Nobody likes to see squashed animals on the road. On our road trips to Yorkshire we see quite a lot. There are actually poeple who take road kill home to cook! They definately belong in Room 101.

RECORD BREAKERS on ATC's

Here we have documented (on these ATCs!) record breaking oversized images of an APPLE, TREE PEONY and STARFISH. Thanks to our lovely models for showing us the true to life scale! (Please click on the image to make it larger.)

Artist Trading Cards - Count The Shapes

Hazel gave me some card stock made from old cereal packets so I used a couple of those and kept some remnants of its previous life. I was amused by the old candle box card and found one of the Two Ronnies to feature in it. That 4 candles sketch is forever etched on my brain!

atcs: Record Breaking Events?

Family with the world spinning top record. (ATCs)

Images gleaned from one of Dave’s 2001 Life magazines.

Theme..Artist Trading cards (Record Breakers)

We haven’t done Artist Trading Cards in a while..(..and I already have some cards cut ready to use).

2.5inches by 3.5 inches.

The starting point is “record breakers”. (Or you can just do what you want).

Look forward to seeing your results.

HEADLINES: 2 ASTRONAUTS WALK AND WORK FOR HOURS ON MOON'S SURFACE

In our household, we do not subscribe to hard copy newspapers any more.

Cost is prohibitive. BUT I happened to remember an oversized book I "thrifted"

entitled FRONT PAGE, a book of historic headlines from the NY Times!

Tenants facing no-fault eviction ordeal.

Moving is never fun..especially when you collect a lot of interesting stuff…and you are given no choice…really horrible feeling not having a secure home.

The Man in the red tie is our Labour MP, Mike Amesbury.

Theme of the Week - HEADLINES

Pick a headline in your local paper or newspaper and make a collage inspired by it. Add a photo of the newspaper headline if you can. Have fun!

IN HER EASTER BONNET...

It should be noted skunks are opportunistic feeders and will happily eat eggs if they come upon some.

Hot cross buns on tv.

Thank you for the great themes Ron.

Happy Easter to all…xxx

Happy Easter To All You Bunnies And Chicks!

All the best for the Spring Holiday! Don't eat too many chocky eggs and hot cross buns!

STORIES of the SEA: "Sweet Molly Malone"

I was very excited to find "The Sea's Valentines" namely beautiful Heart Cockles to make Molly's skirt. And of course she's swooping in on a Mussel. To add to her outfit I place two bivalves called "Angel Wings".
