I don’t really have a bucket list but I did enjoy the film with Jack & Morgan.

So, I’ve gone for a variation on bucket hat fashion seen a lot during the summer with the Oasis reunion.

As you probably know I do like a silly list and this is no exception!

Bucket List

 I don’t have a bucket list…but if I did I would like to visit the cheese caves on the moon.

(No one said the list needed to be possible..)

Theme…Bucket List

 Bucket List..a common phrase used to describe a list of things you wish to do or achieve before your time runs out….swimming with dolphins etc..(not that I would want to do that!)

Do you have such a  list and could one of those things be achieved or expressed in collage. Or what else could a bucket list mean?  As usual, have fun and surprise yourself.

 Initially I just had a bloom demonstrating regeneration -- the natural cycle of

winter

 followed by the vibrant bloom of 

spring. 

But this piece didn't seem finished.

So I removed the bright blue sky behind the mountains and replaced it with night.

Done.

Collage Rising

Regenerating paper pieces into new creations is a bit like we collagists do.

Arising from the ashes.

 

London was very damaged during WW2…even when I moved there in the mid 1980s the was signs that London was still recovering….plots of land that were old bomb sites….swiftly put up council housing on land that a few years early would have been bomb sites…even the house we lived in in Lambeth Walk felt like it had tilted during a bomb blast (over the road had been levelled during the war).

Rebuilding is a slow and steady process….

Also added a Portland frog..all hail the frog.

ICE -- A Polar Plunge

The Polar Plunge Chicago is an annual event where thousands of participants take an icy dip into Lake Michigan to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois, an organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for people with intellectual disabilities.

Have I ever? No way!! Happy to donate money and stay warm and dry!!

 Putting the theme on early to hopefully pop up on the day..as we will be away in Iceland for a few days.

Although Iceland isn’t covered in ice but Greenland is…weird…we decided to have Ice as the theme.

So think of anything cold and icy, ice Queen, ice hockey, ice cream…and even ICE is in the news ..but we don’t want to think about that…!!

 When I did this I came upon the “dead king” image..

It reminded me of the amount of Americans on line actively wishing to hear Trump had died and saying they have champagne on ice ready to celebrate…

I wouldn’t wish for anyone to die…but I do wish he would go away and shut up…vile man.

I used the same background on the scanner. Good fun to do...and it is a rainy day out there as a back caption says!

Well that was an interesting experiment…

What's Happening At The Back?........................Wild Rocks/Zoo

So I plundered yet again the old facsimile book of victorian childrens stories and poems with amusing illustrations of the time. These two pages seemed ideal as they were next to each other although one would be upside down. I made slits where the bars of the cage was so I could slip animals and birds into the cages soon realised they would be tricky to accomodate. So the rocks and minerals seemed a better solution and easier to cut out! Well, it amused me for an hour or so fiddling about with the slots and the rocks. The results need some work but for now here they are.

Here's the other side which is less successful but has a surrealness ( is that a word?) which I like.
