Carry On Postcarding (with Kenneth Williams)

  1. Love this! A postcard I would be very happy to receive in the mail. I recently read a piece posted to Sabine Remy's blog entitled "Bye Bye Mail Art" that appeared in Kolaj Magazine #42. Here is the link:

It is somewhat distressing. I joined the International Union of Mail Artists and enjoyed sending and receiving postcards but too soon some of the artists who I was sharing with expressed concerns over rising postage costs. Understandable when it is international mail. I now try to focus on corresponding with local creators of mail art.

    1. Sad that sending mail abroad is so expensive now... You would think it would be cheaper with the sorting machines and huge cargo planes... World has gone mad.😕

  2. Ofcourse post - cards. How could I forget them - the life blood of the mail art world. People used to send them from the seaside on holibobs but not so much these days. Sadly you are right - postage costs have put off a lot of mail artists from participating as they used to in the 80's and 90's when postage was relatively cheap. I only do a couple of foreign mails a week now as apposed to dozens when a postcard abroad was 20p or something . Ho hum!
