Curios Thing 240

3 pages from Curios Thing 240 which has kept me away from this blog for a while. 16 pages of A5, folded and stapled. Limited edition going out to family and friends over the festive period. I try and make one every year - have done since the mid 80's when I was heavily involved in mail art network. Not had much time for it over the last few years - blogs taking over but nice to get back into finding amusing items that might fit this small format. Other small 'zines over the last 30 years or so have been U-MAK-IT, Christmas Catalogs, Curious Dog, Curious Snail, Curios Nahpro ( with Art Nahpro ), Curios Families ( with Roger Radio & Family ) Curios Radio ( with Roger Radio AKA Roger Stevens ) and so forth. Will add a link to the online digitised version when I get round to it.

  2. "Melts in the misty mobsy gratings..." you've definitely got a Lewis Carroll thing goin' there, my friend. =grin= You may not have much to say about your technique, which is understandable, but you definitely have a verbal thing goin' on. =smile= Your description of how you've gone about producing little private editions of these minizines over the years is most inspirational! I've been wondering how I might go about sending out more mail art in printed editions.... one year I mailed out prints of 100+ Hallowe'en oversized postcards I'd drawn from scratch, and it was fun for me & my recipients both. A zine is another good approach to that!

  3. Thanks all - yes, rather time consuming especially at the end when the fine tuning goes on - fining that special word or object that will make all the difference! Bit of a rush for this CT so some bits rather hurried and botched up! Not that anyone would notice - just me!

  5. What Josephine said! Next year perhaps you could make a few extra for the poor, starving denizens of Kollage Kit... ;-)

  6. I shall be downloading the whole thing to ISSUU site soon so you'll be able to make your own copy. I'd love to send everybody one but just too time consuming and expensive so only 12 hard copies for close friends and family.
