Valentine's Cards

Selection of Valentine's Cards I have made for my beloved Hazel every year since 1984 - from the archives.

The Object of Her Affection

Portrait of a Man, Presumed to be Chancellor Nicolas Brulart de Sillery by Daniel Dumonstier (1574-1646). Ballerina from a book of ballet portraits by the great photographer Maurice Seymour.

This week's theme: L.O.V.E.

With St Valentines just a few days away,  it has to be "Love Love Love" as the theme.

Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.
Nor hath love's mind of any judgement taste;
Wings and no eyes figure unheedy haste.
And therefore is love said to be a child
Because in choice he is so oft beguiled
