This week's theme: Recycling & Up-cycling

Collages exploring the above. Making the old into the new etc…

Last one from me on the themes for now, it's been great fun.
Thanks for all the great collages over the last 2 months.

brillant et bleu un moment

Title from a line of poetry, author unknown to me: "Brillant et bleu un moment, froid et gris ensuite." "Bright and blue one moment, cold and gray the next."

All images from 1000 Butterflies: An Illustrated Guide to the World's Most Beautiful Butterflies, by Adrian Hoskins.  I have a new respect for how butterfly wings are engineering marvels.

socks and sandals

I wear sandals all year long, even in the snow. In the cold months, I wear socks with them.

Shoe Addicted

It´s from the archives (2018) but fits so well.

This week's theme: Boots and Shoes

Got this idea after the sole came off my boot yesterday in the rain :(
Well-heeled collages and montaged moccasins all accepted.

Upside Down and Round and Round.

I got really confused with this theme, and at the last minute, suddenly realised I didn't know which way up to post this! I think this might be best, but still keep changing my mind.

Inside Out & Upside Down

I somehow felt this background art complimented (and connected) my horses.

Front & Back

I must say this collage challenge flummoxed me.
(I have been thinking too hard about it, I suspect.)
The lady in the leotard comes from a vintage beauty & exercise book I happen to own two copies of. So I cut her out twice.
That is her front and that is what is printed on the back of her!

The Collagist.

Found a pic of the collagist in question, Lucy Williams, in a fashion supplement that the man in the corner-shop gave me, and so am using it for this week's free-for-all theme. The article showed seven artists in their studios. Lucy Williams has sustained several injuries from collaging, including dropping a cutting-knife on her foot. Ouch!
Be careful out there, Kollage Kitters!

Best Before Bulbs

Another page from the atlas I bought recently with stuff from the bin and the floor sweepings!

Mirage Collage

I've been too busy to get busy making new collages.
This is from the archives, made for a couple of friends who own
 a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog (pictured).

Photo Shoot on Cadillac Mountain

Not sure I ever posted this collage on The Kollage Kit. Created it for a friend a couple of years ago. The men are from a vintage Sears Roebuck catalogue.

The Way To Happiness

King Tinto Bites The Numbers

Found an old atlas recently in a charity shop and have started to use the pages for a series of Schwitters inspired collages using the bits on the floor and in the rubbish bin.

Stephen & Nettie & their Falabella

Found antique cabinet card photograph.
Folks identified on reverse as Stephen & Nettie Maynard.
The miniature horse is known as a Falabella.

Country of origin: Argentina

The Falabella miniature horse is one of the smallest breeds of horse in the world, seldom taller than 8 hands in height at the withers. The Falabella, despite its size, is not considered a pony, but rather is a miniature horse.

broken and rough-hewn humanity

FYI my KK colleagues: the hubsand and I will be going up to our "farm" in way-rural Pennsylvania for a couple of weeks, so I'll be off the Net and out of touch.

for love of splendid pattern

Theme: Free For All

Into the new month and we'll start with the "non-theme"
 - we haven't done this for a while.

Free to do whatever takes your fancy.
