Thanks a bunch for that! Lovely memories from my childhood come flooding back - the horse drawn bakery cart - the horse drawn coal wagon - the tricycle that went round selling ice creams! All true and not made up!
Hmmmmmm...I remember carts, but vaguely. I guess we had them in Chicago. I know my husband has talked about the carts that patrolled the Baltimore, Maryland neighborhood he grew up in. I don't think they were drawn by animals, but were pushcarts. This is a lovely image and the bananas are nicely placed so as not to get too bruised as the cart rolls along! (I am aware of this problem as I bicycle home with bananas in my bike basket and make sure they are placed on top of all the groceries!)
