The house we are clearing has piles of old Sunday supplements. I picked this one as it had 3 people on the cover….almost every advert was for tobacco or alcohol!… The seventies were another place!

Wow! I remember the 70's. It was full of booze and fags ( not for me!) . I was living in a bungalow in Brentwood, Essex and then in France for a bit ( wine ) and then in Stepney in a pre-fab courtesy of ACME housing ass. I made my own booze in a big plastic dustbin! Nice collages BTW!

In the last collage, I think that bloke is explaining to his friends he’s cutting down to just one ciggie and one drink a day.
Yikes! The ruination (health wise) of a lot of the older ad men my husband worked with ... if you watched the TV program "Mad Men" you will notice the abundance of drinks and smokes. They were selling what kept them going. Until...
