  2. Ever interested in words I GOOGLED the phrase: "Wash and brush up" and so I see in Britain...

    Brit the act or an instance of tidying one's appearance (esp in the phrase wash and brush-up)

    I love your change of word and meaning! (And I think I am going to start using this phrase in the States!)

  3. Thanks all. I didn't realise that the phrase "wash and brush up" wasn't a universal term. Hardly surprising that some of the puns fall on deaf ears!
