A very clever group of artists who call themselves "The Glue Society" has an approach to art they call "moreing" -- they create works that feature numerous copies of an object or multiples of the same type of object. The more, the better. You can watch a short and very entertaining video about them here (my favorite line in the video: "I'm wearing 27 pairs of underpants right now").
So, take a quick peek at the video and let's do some moreing!
Housekeeping Update: The lovely Miss CC (aka Collage Craft or in some circles, Angie Naron) has volunteered to do the theme work for October, and we are all looking forward to it!
I love the collage, the video and the idea of "moreing". In the winter months I do tend to wear up to 5 sweaters, not sure I understand 27 pairs of underpants :)
ReplyDeleteNice theme. Shame the "moreing" group is fantasy by some advertising bods trying to make money - stealing ideas from the avant garde like they always tend to do. I'm just an old cynic I know!
ReplyDeleteAh, but they're such CLEVER advertising bods, W, gotta love 'em!
DeleteOh boy! I love repetition, in music, in writing, in art...
ReplyDeleteI would love to pick the OCTOBER themes. Unless someone else REALLY wants to do it!!
ReplyDeleteCC, you're on! I'll make this my last week and next Thursday (10/3) you can take over. Thanks for volunteering and I look forward to seeing what you come up with for the spooky month of October......Lynn
DeleteOkay! You can bet some of the month will be macabre. Heh heh...
DeleteBy the way Lynn, I love the multiple theme and I look forward to challenging myself in the next day or so...
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking over the October themes - that's a big weight off my mind and I'm enjoying the rest! :-)

Delete(Sorry about that: hit the wrong button.) Michael, my notion was that we should cycle through all of the regulars, each doing a month of themes. The people remaining are Sabine, Ron, and possibly Vivianne, if she's up for it. So you're off the hook for themes until at least the new year and probably until February. And we could always cycle around another time: I know I have more themes I could do.

Oops! I meant to say Vivienne...
