Theme Of The Week..................Things In Space

We havent done a space travel theme for a while and they always seem quite popular. It doesn't have to be sci-fi but any kind of space - wide open spaces - space on your shelves or in your attic? Have fun!

Theme Of The Week....................Edward Lear's Nonsense Limericks

These can be easily found online. Choose a nonsense verse and illustrate it. Most are very visual and lend themselves to the collage medium. Have fun!

Theme: Music hath charms...

We have not had a musical challenge in some time. Have fun!

Theme: HAIR IT IS!

I don't think we have had a hair challenge in a long time. So, get out those scissors and go to town creating some new "dos".  Have fun and don't limit yourself to just one!

THEME: Books

Books! I know we have had this theme before. Have fun creating a library! A book cover ! A quiet time enjoying a good read ! Or ???

THEME: Abstract

Jackson Pollock described abstract art as “energy and motion made visible.” He described how the art form set free a part of his psyche that previously had no voice. Artists were no longer expected to faithfully represent what they saw in the world around them. Instead, abstract art gave them licence to create art by prioritising instinct or the unconscious.

Theme Of The Week........................Homunculus

During medieval and early modern times, it was thought that a homunculus, an artificial humanlike being, could be created through alchemy. The homunculus first appears by name in alchemical writings attributed to Paracelsus (1493–1541). We love "Small Prophets" TV series and this is the basis for this weeks theme.
