Oh Michael, this is wonderful: the notion of something brightly & individually colored being poured into another container where it becomes featureless & black is so fitting for the life of drudgery that I imagine awaits these bright (yet somber) individual brides.
Thanks both. More luck than judgement I assure you! casting my eye around for three subjects I found these delightful if rather dour looking ladies then I found the jugs. Seemed obvious to put them together. How strange the working of the addled brain!
