That's Ayres Rock in Australia ( or whatever the aboriginal name is?) and seen from this angle it does look very different. From a National Geographic magazine from the 60's.
My favorite Auntie climbed that rock, in the 1980s, with my cousin who was an astronomical physicist. He was there on research.
Tip Top! He really is the Top Cat. Nice surprise for the tourists when they get to the peak.
