Thanks. I often go to one of the two children's "readers" from the early 1950s for source material. The two figures with the table come from a hardcover book in excellent condition (I held my breath when I made the cut) that I picked up for a pittance. It is all about toys of childhood. That particular image is from the cover of an antique game box. It's the first element of my collage I needed to find a background for and the rest is as above.
Nostalgia personified! Nice finds - evoking childhood adventures by the seaside.

DeleteNice one Angie - memories of seaside days - and seeing a beach for the first time.
