Going Underground - The Labyrinth

  1. Oh, so THAT'S what goes on under the pavement! Good mash-up of images.

Speaking of water and drain lines...we have had a clogged drain on one of our four corners for the past three years. Guess when the water department FINALLY came out to address the situation? After the 14.5 inches of snow fell and the day-time temperatures were well below freezing. They just completed the job (after two days) and I wandered over to ask "Why now?" The foreman told me it was "next on their list"...unbelievable. But I am grateful. No more rivers on that corner the next time it rains! (Not to mention the skating rink that would form if the temps dipped after a heavy rain.) Chicago is the City that Works! (All year round!!)

    1. Thanks Angie - hope you get your drains sorted. Lots of flooding around here recently but we are on a hill so not affected thankfully. Texas sounds bad at the moment - who'd have thought they would suffer from power cuts with all that oil!

    2. I know (about Texas) and you might have heard that they are on an energy grid that is independent from the surrounding states. And the main problem is they did not spend the $$$ to winterize their equipment which led to frozen pipe lines, etc. So, although they have the resources, the resources could not get to their marks. Very tragic situation for many many people. And no fresh water for many.
