ANYTHING GOES: Frida & Diego Reimagined


 I made this piece as a shadowbox, a collage with dimension, for a silent auction to benefit a community in the Chicago area.

The nude depicting Mother Earth is by Diego Rivera, from a mural.

The self portrait of Frida Kahlo with her pet spider monkey is one of my favorite paintings by her.

      Thanks, Michael. I like to make these shadowboxes for "silent" auctions. I have now created at least three. Frida and Diego always guarantee a nice price for the charity!
