There is a painting I love called "Glimpse Into Eternity" by Ferdinand Hodler,
a Swiss painter who executed the mural in 1916 or thereabouts.
It features five women in a sterile landscape. I chose three of the ladies
for this collage.

Rosie Dolly (1892-1970) and Jenny Dolly (1892-1941)
professionally known as The Dolly Sisters,
were Hungarian-American identical twin dancers, singers & actresses.
The elephant has been afraid of the mouse since the beginning of time…they never forget, but have never revealed what the mouse did all those centuries ago.
The Beatles ‘In My Life’ was the audio track for a slideshow I made for my cousins to remember grandparents, aunts & uncles no longer with us. It fitted perfectly.

My mother Olga.
Olga loved any image that contained moonlight.
Olga also adored Laurel & Hardy. Born in 1930, she and her mother would go to the local cinema and enjoy their comedy.
A self-taught artist, Olga was a very good copy artist and especially loved the cartoons of Walt Disney. She could have worked for Walt as an illustrator.
Olga was a deeply religious woman who loved to bake cakes.
What a voice Olga possessed. She could have been a "Big Band Singer". I grew up listening to her singing along with the radio. "See the pyramids along the nile...", "That old black magic...", all the great hits of the 1940s-50s.
Yes, that is Bela Lugosi. Olga was a NUMBER ONE Fan of the Golden Age of Horror Films. Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolfman, The Mummy.
Rest in Peace Ma.
My dad died in 1989..far too young.
When he wasn’t at work he would be busy doing DIY..or just be in his shed or garage making and doing things.
Sorry for the late theme… and so sorry to hear Collage Crafts sad news of the passing of her mother.
Feels appropriate to think about those lost and gone from our lives in anyway you feel..celebrate their lives or wonder what magical place they may now inhabit…x
My mom passed away this past week and I have been not in my workroom, as you can imagine. I enjoyed checking in on your creations and in my mom's honor played some of her favorite numbers during the recent PowerBall. Mom had a good, long life (would have been 92 next month) and she was a wonderful self-taught artist, drawing and painting were her mediums. Rest in Peace, "Ma".
