THEME Of The Week - Lovely Grub!

A broad theme this week - either food based or related to the insect world. Maybe even insects that could be food? Anyway - he says - desperately clutching at straws - have fun!

  1. Thanks for the big LOL!! I think I will pass on the insects...seeing plenty as I am gardening a lot these days and the last thing I want to think about is eating them.

    1. "Grub" is an English term for food in general , so no need to include insects!

    2. Same here pardner! I believe the term was used by cowboys...YES! I just looked it up:

      Who calls food grub?
The same root that produced grava, turned up in Old English grybban "to dig", which ultimately became grub. Because pigs and other animals usually grub for food, the word grub also became cowboy slang meaning "food".
