Initially I just had a bloom demonstrating regeneration -- the natural cycle of
winter
followed by the vibrant bloom of
spring.
But this piece didn't seem finished.
So I removed the bright blue sky behind the mountains and replaced it with night.
Done.

Very atmospheric Angie. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ron. It was too easy to just place a flower in the snow. ha ha

ReplyDeleteThanks much Hazel. My first thought for this challenge was The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 but I could not put my hands on a book about the devastation (saw it at a charity shop just weeks ago) and then couldn't really find a good image of my own city (ha ha) so I thought this would suffice. And I am curious about the show "Phoenix Nights" which I found out about when I GOOGLED the phrase. Worth watching? (We FINALLY watched every episode of PEEP SHOW from back in the day and truly loved it!) Don't know if "Phoenix Nights" is available here.
