So, of course, I had to GOOGLE. Not to be confused with Fay Presto (who I also learned about). Did you ever catch Ray's act? He sounded like quite the character!! This would have been a perfect poster to announce another gig...Love that electric "collar" around his portrait!!
Thanks Angie. A bit of a co-incidence. I had no idea there had been a “Ray Presto” out there playing the theatres. I just made up the name. My fictional “Ray” staring out is Country Music fave Faron Young. :D I had to google and read about the “real” Ray of course, and I agree he was a quite an act!
Great stuff ! reminds me of a great old poster Hazel found in a charity shop and gave me for Xmas or maybe my birthday some years ago. Its in a frame on our landing art gallery. It says "VIRGIL International Illusionist" and the photo of Virgil is not unlike Ray - he has the same slicked down hair!
