Sun or Moon - Dark side of the moon

From my archive. (Collage, created 13 years ago.)

Holiday on the Sun.

Gertrude and Harry forgot how hot it was on the sun…Gertrude was starting to think a week there was going to be too much and she shouldn’t have packed her big coat.

Sun Or Moon - Recycled Postcard

THEME: Sun or Moon

Unleash your inner sun worshipper or moonlover and make a collage that has something to do with the sun or the moon (or both). May your art be enlightened!

STAYCATION DESTINATION -- The Art Institute of Chicago

I am lucky to live in the city that includes The Art Institute of Chicago. Pictured above is "The Waterfall" 1910 by Henri Rousseau (1849-1910). This painting is in collection of the Art Institute.

Rousseau never set foot outside of France.  "The Waterfall" is one of his large scale imagined jungle scenes for which he gained renown.

I have never been to a jungle. But I will don my sunhat and visit the A.I. and sit for a spell under this masterpiece and imagine I am in that jungle.

Vacation Destination - Cultural Trip(ping)

After a long time looking for a vacation-like surrounding for the lady on the air mattress, I thought she matched so good with the art of Yayoi Kusama. I added a red dotted fish skin and some sea anemones. No need to smoke mushrooms when you can enjoy art..
