Ha Ha...this one came together when I looked at a couple of things laying around and then a little research (fruit bats do like plums) and the auction catalogue that the plate came from also had a "prices realized" list for the bat shape. 4 for $1 came out of a vintage flower seed catalogue that happened to be out for another collage I'm working on. Voila!
Thanks Lynn. The paper used for the bat is the same cream color as the border of the old plate and kind of has a nice illusion of being a cut-out instead of a paste-down bat!
