at times even ultraman succumbs to abject despair


With a bit of red, and quite a lot of black, acrylic paint.

  5. Agreed with above comments! Very effective painting -- representing the rage and force of the dinosaur as well as the tension and despair felt by Ultraman and yet a force field protecting him.

    1. Thank you, Angie, especially for what you said about the despair forming a force field around Ultraman. I recently went through a short (about 3 weeks long) depression, (Don't worry: I'm over it now.) I noticed, as I have noticed in previous depressions, that the pain of the depression is so bad, it has the odd effect of protecting me from anything else stressful that is going on in my life.

  6. Such perfect painting touches, the jagged, branching edging is wonderful...did you do the red, too? (VERY glad you're past the recent troubles, Miss Fi, such a hard thing to get past.)

    1. Yes, I did the red, too, as accurately as I could determine for outlining the red areas on Ultraman's snazzy costume. Thanks for your kind words. I, too, am very glad to be out of that depression!
