Groundbreaking VOGUE Cover
Found my box of postcards that included some with reproduced VOGUE covers. The model (covering Jean Shrimpton's lovely face on that issue of VOGUE) is "Baby Viola", who was a side-show circus performer in the Hagenback-Wallace Circus. Photo is circa 1920s.
So you are a lucky fellow, Angie, with all you all vogue covers! ;-) Isn´t it sad that overweighted humans once were a "circus act", like little persons, physically disabled and so on?! So good that those days are over!
