Free For All = ATC's - Six ATC's for John Evans

Made from clippings and material that was sent to me from someone in the mail art community who got it from John Evans' widow. John would have used some of these collage materials in his work and so glad I can make use of it and remember a great collagist who is no longer with us.

More ATCs ..Ladies in cardies with light bulbs

Enjoying doing ATCs..haven’t done any before…thank you for the push.

SUPERSTITIONS: A Pet on a Set is Bad Luck!

Never bring a pet on a theatrical or film set or the production will be doomed!
This still is of John Drew and Leslie Carter in "The Circle"

Note from Wikipedia:

John Drew's final Broadway play was The Circle co-starring fellow veteran star Leslie Carter and proved to be a popular comeback for the two Victorian actors. The Circle was made into a silent film in 1925 by MGM directed by Frank Borzage.

So, I guess having Rocky Raccoon on set wasn't so bad for this production. Whew...

SUPERSTITIONS: Many women in Ancient Britain kept acorns in their pockets to ensure...

 ...a forever youthful complexion.

AND additionally:

Acorns are amulets of protection from illness & disease & being struck by lightning!

Superstitions: Don’t Sing at the Dinner Table! (Sympathy for the Devil)

Singing in the Netherlands during dinner means that you are singing to Old Nick and praising him for your food.

SUPERSTITIONS: Trying her best to avoid bad luck...

...Diana de Poitiers did not play with scissors, place a loaf of bread upside down or position her hand mirror to EVER face her dressing table mirror.

However, once a month Diana had one fear she had no control over...

 BEWARE the FULL MOON!

Pushing your luck in the superstition stakes..ladders, magpie and 13!.
