Thaxted May Day Custom...Dancing around the Damson Souffle.

Ideal choice of theme for May Day Bank Holiday weekend. Thaxted uses the last of their damsons to make a souffle... If the souffle doesn't rise the year will be cursed...as you can see this year the Souffle is perfect. The Morris Dancers celebrate by waving their Damsons in a merry dance.

  2. Hmmmmm...had to look up Damson...similar to plums and a member of the rose family! Not to be eaten raw. Never ever heard of these. So happy their souffle was a rousing success!!
