SLANG, JARGON, CODE WORDS...With his habit of "legging" it to work every morning, Patricia couldn't get Paul to notice her at the bus stop

Thanks to Stuart Davis (1892-1964) for that groovy background:

  1. Nice one! Also -" Legging or leggin’ it means to propel a boat through a tunnel (without a towpath) by lying on planks and ‘walking’ along the walls or the roof. Toe rag is now sometimes spelled as tow rag because the original background story has long since been forgotten."

    1. Thanks. My friend who send me the 1989 DETAILS magazine for ideas /inspiration helped this one as well...the Whiz-Kid was featured in an advertisement with the pages. The lady was sitting on my worktable waiting for her turn into a collage and the background was magically plucked from the first art book I picked up (I honestly did not know this Stuart Davis) and now I am telling you more of my creative process...always a lot of intuition and non-intention.

    2. Above should read "within the pages" not with the pages. I should edit before I hit the PUBLISH button.
