THE FALL
The first thing that popped into my mind is how cats have the ability to fall from a great height and survive it. This, from the good old internet:
There are documented cases of cats falling from the 32nd floor of NYC skyscrapers and surviving.
During a fall from a high place, a cat reflexively twists its body and rights itself using its acute sense of balance and flexibility. This is known as the cat's "righting reflex".

THEME: The Fall
Not a very original theme for this time of the year. It's autumn! Or is it someone who stumbles? Or is it a band? Or is it the fall of society?!
This is the last theme I picked. I enjoyed everyone's inventiveness and creativity!! Who would like to pick the themes fot the next two months?

east-meets-west: Golfing Chess
The modern game of Golf originated in 15th century Scotland but the game’s ancient origins are unclear and may have came from the Chinese game of Chuiwan.
The recorded history of Chess goes back to the emergence of a similar game Chaturanga in 7th century India.

THEME: Multicolor
After the restrictions of a limited color palette last week, we now can go wild with colors. Somewhere over the rainbow we'll find joyful, vibrant splashes of color in our stacks of papers.

MONOCHROME: Museum Preview
Pasted down on pink cardstock:
The vertical banner and words from a vintage ART in AMERICA magazine, "The Swing" by Jean-Honore Fragonard c. 1765, sketch of woman from a how to draw book, landscape behind her from a Georgia O'Keeffe painting, being overlooked by a painting by Paul Klee and finally a beautiful flower from one of my gardening books.
This was really fun to do. I had to real dig a lot to come up with these images!
