RIVER -- Built to protect the upper reaches of the River Rother, Bodiam Castle, Sussex was the perfect backdrop for Twiggy's 1967 photo shoot


 Francis Grose (1731-1791) described the castle as a romantic ruin:
"This venerable structure, whose mouldering towers and rugged walls ...
afford at once a most picturesque subject for the pencil ... "

And for picturesque Twiggy!

    1. Yes, she does. Twiggy was my teenage years inspiration! I carefully learned to paint tiny eyelashes under my lower lids.

  2. Ah! We are lucky to have many mouldering castles and ruins but only one Twiggy. I like the giant Twiggy ready to repell invaders!
