I think you are like me. You never throw out an image of interest. I have one box that I call "favorite images" but in the long run everything I save is a fave. I have learned one thing...must have every box or tote labeled to be able to lay your hands on what you want immediately! One of my greatest pleasures is having my work table littered with images and then you see two laying next to each other and you say "ah ha!"
I was thinking about your collage as I was getting ready for the day and realized that the views of the wild lions and tigers were glimpses into the past lives of the circus animals who are now living in cages--your separate match box images mimic mini cages that separate and confine them. This is brilliant!
Not too keen on animal circuses. I always preferred the non animal kind with acrobats, clowns and jugglers etc. Not that keen on zoos either but we do visit them occasionally and enjoy watching the animals especially if they are in large paddocks or enclosures.
I don't enjoy confinement of animals one bit either. I agree with zoo animals in larger living quarters. In general their lives might be easier with regular food and water (that is how I con myself into thinking they are happy.)
Circuses and zoos are not the problem when it comes to tigers: it's those [unprintable epithet] people who pay exorbitant prices for silly things like powdered tiger penis. Great collage!
Nice matchbox images. Busy and colorful collage.
ReplyDeleteI knew they would come in handy one day!
