Chicken 'Licken' Little Scams the Easter Bunny, Convincing Him the Sky Will Fall Unless He Signs a Contract to Deliver Only the Ridiculously Over-Priced Colored Eggs Produced by Chicken 'Licken' Little, LLC

Background is an old scenic postcard of an unidentified forest glen.  The Easter Bunny is cut from a nature book.  Mr. Chicken 'Licken' Little and his basket of colorful wares is taken from a book on collectible vintage Easter cards.

oscar wilde looks into the deep past

I'm pressed for time, too, of late, so this one's doing duty for two different collage venues. I was already thinking about an image of someone looking into the dinosaur era, for our theme of time & space, when they announced a challenge on swap-bot to make a collage postcard incorporating these five things: a dinosaur, a trumpet, a queen, some plaid, and a circle. Since my favorite queen is the generous, brilliant, witty Oscar Wilde, I immediately saw how I could make a card both for this blog and the swap-bot challenge.

Hence, I give you a mother tyrannosaur feeding her young, four trumpets held by two angels ('wonder why they need back-up trumpets), a queen whom I admire a great deal, a plaid ascot that he probably wouldn't like, and a black circle.

Photo of Oscar is from the cover of Sheridan Morley's Oscar Wilde (no photo credit given, and yes, it is purple on the cover). Tyrannosaurs & hadrosaurs by paleo-artist Luis V. Rey. Angels are Dover spot illustrations.

Deceleration

18 x 25 cm - 2012
I´m too bussy this weekend to create a new one, too - but I would like to share this one from the archives with you. I like the difference between the high speed explosion in the background and the decelerated woman and snails in the front.

Rock Around The Clocks

One from the archives as I'm a bit snowed under with framing and tidying etc. Nice to be in demand but the blogs must take second place on these occasions.

Battery Powered Time Travel

one from the archives, too much going on lately to try and be creative

The moment we Americans exploded an atom bomb on Hiroshima, Japan.  From a work-in-progress collaged book about growing up in the shadow of the atom bomb.

Time-travel into the future

We all need a little fun! I "doodled" a bit and this is, what happend: Pisa in the year 2235

A more seriously collage will come - hopefully!

Theme of the Week - Time & Motion

This theme just popped into my head.  Seems pretty wide area to explore - clocks, watches,  time machines,  factories etc.  Have fun!

Chicken Juggling - The Sport of Angels

When chickens go to meet their maker they get a playful juggle!  What???  LOL

Angel carefully cut out of the cover of an antique sheet music book of hymns.  Chickens are from an old National Geographic plate. Starry sky is a piece of scrapbooking paper I had on hand.

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes

I cut the image of Liz and Dick from a recent supplement (Parade Magazine) to our local Sunday newspaper and thought I would do something with them someday.  Well to day is the day.  Placed on top of a lithograph by Andrew Stasik entitled "Spring Rite" with a word balloon (from a circa 1960s ad for a used book store) that says: "I put my arms around him yes and drew him down to me so he could feel my breasts all perfume yes and his heart was going like mad and yes I said yes I will Yes."  (attributed to Ulysses James Joyce)

Trudy and Hooty

Image of girl is a found real photograph.  Hooty the Owl is a vintage piece of advertising scrap.  The moon is from a science book.

My intention was to make an image that looks like one of those vintage "paper moon postcards" that are so collectible!

A Host of Heavenly Angels

I went through my boxes of this and that and these heavenly bodies were already cut out.  They just needed to be placed in a starry night sky.

Passing through wormholes can be awkward
