Zenobia

Zenobia, the warrior queen of Palmyra (present-day Syria), who led her armies to conquer Egypt and parts of the Roman Empire about 270 C.E.  She was eventually defeated and captured by the Emperor Aurelian, who had her bound in (supposedly) golden chains and paraded as a captive through the streets of Rome.
