Background composed of disarticulated parts of two coconut crabs. Circus gal from Taschen's
The Circus. Plus black acrylic paint.
About a week ago a very close friend of mine abruptly cut off communication with me. This collage is about how it feels.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I hope that it gets sorted out. Great collage - it does look very painful.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that Fi, but you expressed it very well, I can feel it in my stomach.
ReplyDeleteHey Fi, you did capture the feeling of pain quite well. I too am sorry that had to happen to you. I once had a similar thing happen to me with a budding friendship. I never found out what went wrong (she refused to talk to me and I finally "let it go") and that made the hurt even worse.
ReplyDeleteNot always easy to come to terms with losing a friend for whatever reason. Nicely portrayed in collage!
ReplyDeleteOh Fi, I feel your pain, so many friendships in my life have ended badly. Makes me ever more grateful for those close friendships that do not entail drama.
ReplyDeleteWell, Fi, it's her loss, dear. [expletive deleted here, because I am a lady and because the scrappers are a fairly genteel lot...] Really, it's a shame she's not "man" enough to inform you of your transgression. Your collage is so expressive, and it must of been satisfying to disarticulate the old crab!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, y'all, for the great comments and especially for the expressions of sympathy. I don't suppose any of you can read & write in French: my former friend is Belgian, and I learned enough French to correspond with her in that language. Now I'm looking for French-writing correspondents!
ReplyDeleteSorry, Fi - je ne parle pas Francais! A sad story behind a great collage!
