Tattooed Skull
This small painting is the first I've made for a while on a 20x20cm canvas. I still could not resist adding collaged elements to it - mainly from old 1950's Mechanix Illustrated magazines found at flea markets etc.
W, this is gorgeous -- the whimsical collage images combined with the bright yellows and reds really make it pop and contrast beautifully with the "art is dead" message. I hope you'll share more of these with us, Skullmaster.
I think it's terrific you're getting back to painting, and this is a great theme! I love your interpretation of the sugar skull, and "all art is dead" is winderfully Dada...
