Background of USA map made of fabric squares from an issue of Art Direction magazine, circa 1969. Lovely 'Amber' from "Two Models" 1930, oil on canvas by William M. Paxton (1869-1941). I used a piece from my book entitled "Swatches" to modestly cover the poor confused girl!
Gorgeous collage, Angie, but what's with the Amber chick? I thought this was supposed to be about our personal body image, not the body image problems of some other person, real or hypothetical.
ReplyDeleteOr did I misunderstand you?
DeleteYes...totally does not have to be personal. I commented on your comment under the Theme post and said it could be, for instance, how Mae West related to her body image. Or Twiggy. Or Karen Carpenter. Or some abstract being from Planet XYZ! ; )
DeleteThanks for the clarification! =smile=
DeleteLove your collage and I love the theme Angie!
ReplyDeleteThanks Josephine. Look forward to seeing what you come up with!
DeleteNice embodiment of the theme, CC (poor, little Amber's body image is a bit quilty, I guess...)
ReplyDeleteYeah, Amber is not only out of it, she is not at all accepting of her form so I covered it up for her LOL!
