In The Future The Past ...
This one is a bit different as a collage... I made poetry pictures look-a-likes of a few drawings I made of some old family photos. These are three of my sisters when they were young.
A different look of the body image.
Nice Josephine! I like how you connected your adorable sisters to the frame (which I recognize as I own a lot of scrap) and connected "scrap" angels to them. An overall pleasing image.
I realy like this, Jo! I spent some time with it beforeI read what you wrote, and I was under the impression that the three girls were different childhood pictures of you. The one in the center suggests that there are some shadows lurking in your body image, and yet the angel faces are hopeful. But it's the connections I really notice, and combined with the title, they made me reflect on how one's body image is often strongly linked to one's childhood—obviously the theme I explored in my collage s well. And I notice that you, too, fekt the need for a frame around the whole topic. =smile=
That was supposed to be "felt the need." I wrote so much, the words overflowed the tiny text box on my iPad, and I couldn't get to that word to correct it.

DeleteAnd "as well" also needed to be fixed. Oh never mind....
DeleteGreat piece, Jo, and I really like the little multimedia touches of glitter and lace. Lovely little ladies!
ReplyDeleteI´m still asking myself how you made this wonderful piece, Josephine!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments. My childhood memories are still very vividly.
ReplyDeleteI made this piece with an extra layer of paper, a double frame.
