Theme Of The Week: Mouth

After "Eyes" what is more obvious than "MOUTH"!
Nothing more to say than: Hope you like it  - and have fun!

PS: I will pick themes for us till (including) the 13th of August. So: two more.

Drink To Me Only With Thine Eyes and I Shall Pledge With Mine

Glue Life Adventures

Sorry for tardy response - been away for a few days - triple celebration ... Archie's graduation in Brighton, Hazel's birthday and our 3rd wedding anniversary. Phew, a busy few days!

She Has Her Mother's Eyes

I tried to make a GIF animation of it, but didn't know how to upload ...
Imagine the sound of a sophisticated 'burp' ...

Lenses

This is a collaborative collage by Lynn and me.
She wrote that she is off for some days - but with this collage she
can take part on KK this week either.

Photo Shoot on Cadillac Mountain

I made this collage for a friend in April.  The men are from a vintage mail order catalog.  The awesome Caddy is from a LIFE magazine advertisement of the time of that model car.

Theme of the week: Transport or Transportation

Wiki says: "Transport or transportation is the movement of people, animals and goods from one location to another."
The German explanation includes also "news/ messages".
So what are you going to transport this week in your collage? And which means of transportation are you choosing?

Ye Olde Hauntology Box

Been Workin' on Some Man Boxes...

To Be a Man

Cowboys

Collage in a matchbox.
I think I also wanna do the outside of the matchbox to make it complete, but sometimes a week is just to short to get things finished. But I'll give it a try.

The image is from an old advertisement about a rol of peppermint or some other candy, the cows are from chocolade bars and the Indian is a found object.

Alpha-bits

O dear, I don't think I will be getting very far with this theme as I can't seem to find the right box or materials. So here's one from the Scrapiteria days.

Sewing Box

Measuring 7.25 x 5.25" with a depth of 1.5", this sewing box contains an altered cabinet card photograph (I added the images of a doll--with a faux gem stone attached to her dress-- and the cat as well as the large white bow), scrap-booking paper that looks like ribbon & rick-rack, a couple of spools of vintage thread, a real vintage button and a paper image of a wicker waste basket with a scissors charm sewn to it.

The Audition

Small assemblage from the 70's that I sent to a friend. It's made of a carved wooden frame, an old sepia photo/postcard and two plastic toys. The naked lady came from a novelty item that included a bath.

Collage Boxes / Cabinets of Wonder

A while ago I found this short but inspiring video about Greg Hanson´s collage boxes.
His boxes remind me on the Cabinets of Wonder by Mano Kellner  - which I like a lot.

They both made me really want to create such show cabinets, and I hope you like to do it, too.

Beauty as Defined in 1515 and 1950

435 years separate both women.  I think there is very little difference in the notion of beauty then and now (although I realize that 1950 is actually 65 years ago!) and that is my statement regarding this week's excellent theme.

By the way the painting of the circa 1515 beauty is a detail of "Sacred and Profane Love" by Tiziano Vecellio (circa 1488-1576) who is also known as Titan.

The mid-century beauty was cut out of a magazine some time ago and I do believe she was a Miss America.

It´s July and this month it´s my turn to choose our themes - what is always a challenge for me.
Thanks again for the great themes in June, Josephine!
This week´s theme is "Contrasts (or Antagonism)" like for example

Have fun!
