  1. Nicely done, Jo! Abstracts are hard, don't you think?

    1. Yes I agree, I always thought they look so simple but that's not truth. But with adding some figurative elements it gives more room to come up with a nice composition, for me it makes it a bit easier.

  2. Abstracts are hard...and this one looks easy! I agree adding figurative elements helps the process.

    1. I think you're right Angie, but hard and easy are both sides of a coin and that's what I love about it!

  3. This is terrific: I love the way the guy is leaning out, and how the stripes on his tie pick up the stripes on the abstract shapes.

    1. Thank you so much Fi, I hadn't noticed the stripes on the tie yet, that's a very happy accident! But I like playing around with the abstracts another week, it gives me a lot of new ideas! What Michael mentioned before 'using the other side of the brain', I think combining abstract with figurative elements feels like using both sides of the brain.

  4. Bold work. It's been a good theme I've enjoyed all the abstracts these last few weeks.
