This Week's Theme: 'Abstract'

This is way out of my comfort zone, so that's why I want to give it a try.
Think form, shape, color, texture, pattern, composition.
Perhaps you can make a beautiful background for future collages.
Get inspired by Kurt Schwitters or Rex Ray or just google 'abstract' collages.
Have fun!

  1. Oh wow, Jo, one of my all-time favorite themes! I'm big on abstracts, and in fact, I just keep wanting to go more and more in that direction.

  2. I'm out of my confort zone too which is great. Good to try different things. I shall be no doubt channelling Kurt Schwitters!

  3. By the way: Kurt Schwitters & Rex Ray are both great inspiration, but you don't need to look only at colllages. Abstract paintings are also great for giving you ideas. Wassily Kandinsky, for example. And the early modern era, like minimalism: lots of shapes and colors and intriguing compositions in that period. Think MoMA!

  6. I've been throwing my hands up trying to create (I am not good with abstracts) but after having a look at what you have all posted so far, I am giving it another try...tomorrow! So be looking for something from me on Sunday or Monday.
